Technical Manager, QI & Seismic Inversion
Mohamed is QI and Seismic Inversion Expert, with more than 15 years experience.
He started his career back in 2000, working for Egyptian Geological Survey And Mining Authority in Egypt.
In 2002 joined SUEZ OIL COMPANY (SUCO) till 2007 when he joined Schlumberger, then moving to FUGRO-JASON in 2008 till 2011. During this assignment, he was in charge of deterministic and geostatistical seismic inversion, reservoir characterization studies in clastic and carbonate. He also performed several inversion studies for thin bed sandstone reservoir with groundwork of static model & delivery of new near field prospects as result in extensional Heglig and Muglad Basins, El-Tor, Mirmir, Gummry and Simber oil fields, Sudan, for GNPO, PETRODAR and WNPO Companies.
He significantly contributed in the seismic interpretation and simultaneous AVO inversion with identification of the oil pay zones in clastic and carbonate reservoirs in compressional Sabinas Basin onshore, CoHuCa fields, Mexico, for PEMEX.
Oversaw estimation and thickness definition for sandstone gas reservoir by using seismic inversion techniques, spectral decomposition, AI/GI analysis in extensional Nile Delta Basin offshore, North-Ha’py concession, Egypt, for GSP Company.
Executed AVO inversion of 2D seismic data for distinguishing different lithology types and determination of high porosity reservoir intervals in the compressional part of the Indus Basin, KDT gas field, Pakistan, for PPL Company.
In 2011 he joined DEA-GROUP (previously RWE) in Egypt, where he worked a lot on the Nile Delta Messinian sandstone reservoirs, building of sedimentological models, deterministic and stochastic seismic inversions, prospect generations & wells proposals in Disouq gas fields, prospects & leads for the Nile Delta Onshore Development team.
